Neighbors and a previous owner of the two-story home hope it can be saved, preserving an important feature in the historic neighborhood. One suggestion was to leave it in place and remodel its spacious rooms as a bed and breakfast to exploit the many guests in town for events at the University of Arkansas, the spring and fall craft fairs and conventions.
